Privacy Policy

The short version: Bitcoin Meme Maker collects nothing about you. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, no data sold or shared. Your photos and your memes stay on your device. This is one of the few apps that can honestly say zero data collection.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the Bitcoin Meme Maker app for iPhone ("the app") and this website, bitcoinmememaker.com. By using the app you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
None. The app has no user accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Your photos and memes
When you add a photo, all editing — including face detection for the automatic laser-eyes feature (which uses Apple's on-device Vision framework) — happens entirely on your iPhone. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Memes you save are stored locally on your device in the app's Projects folder; they are not synced to any cloud or server we control. Deleting the app removes them.
Network requests the app makes
The app works offline for almost everything. It makes only these anonymous requests, and none of them include any identifier or information about you:
- Bitcoin price & charts — when you add a live price or a historic chart, the app fetches public market data from CoinGecko. Just a price request; nothing about you is sent.
- Meme template images — when you pick a template that isn't already bundled in the app, its blank image is downloaded from the public meme-template service Imgflip and cached on your device.
- Trending list — the app loads a small public file (bitcoinmememaker.com/trending.json) listing currently-trending meme templates. It is a one-way download of a public file; no data about you is transmitted.
As with any internet request, the services above and our content delivery network (Cloudflare) may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address for security and reliability. We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything else.
Sharing your memes
When you tap Share, iOS hands your image to the destination you choose (such as X, Nostr, Instagram, Messages, or your Photos library). That happens through Apple's standard share sheet and is governed by the privacy policy of whichever service you pick. We never see or store what you share.
Payments
Bitcoin Meme Maker is a one-time $4.99 purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Children's privacy
The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region).
Data sales and sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we do not collect any. There is nothing to sell.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our servers. All of your content lives on your own device and is under your control. Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights over personal data; we honor them by simply not collecting any.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect.
